TORONTO: In response to India’s allegations, Canadian think tank dismissed claims that Pakistan was providing financial support to Sikh organisations. Head of think tank Terry Milosky stated that Pakistan was not backing organisation “Sikhs for Justice,” and its leadership had not gone to Pakistan seeking financial assistance. Mr Milosky went on to clarify that group was collecting funds independently and overseas Sikhs were generously supporting their cause against India.
Organisation had successfully conducted referendums for Khalistan’s independence in various countries, including Canada, Europe and Australia, which caused Indian government to suffer. India had accused Pakistan of financing Sikh organisations, including Sikhs for Justice. Still, Canadian think tank’s statement categorically denied these allegations.
