Cabinet throw-outs summary seeking increase in medicines prices

ISLAMABAD: Federal Cabinet has rejected summary on increase in prices of medicines. Federal Cabinet met under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday. Summary seeking increase in prices of different medicines was presented in meeting for consideration.  PM rejected summary saying permission for scaling up prices of medicines cannot be accorded in prevailing situation.

Further increase in prices of medicines is not acceptable in any way. It is pertinent to mention here that Drug Regulatory Authority has sent summary for enhancement in prices of over 40 medicines to ministry of health. Summary was submitted by ministry of health before Cabinet during meeting.
