ISLAMABAD: Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif authorised Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe Toshakhana gifts received “In violation of defined procedure in law”.

While directing Cabinet division to present list of gifts received, PM Shehbaz asked FIA to present report on its investigation within two weeks. “State gifts must not be used for business,” PM said. Mmeeting was also briefed on proposed energy conservation plan. PM directed Minister for Defence Khwaja Muhammad Asif to consult chief ministers of all provinces regarding plan.

PM said that government got charge in difficult times and it was trying its best to improve economic situation of country.

Meanwhile, Chairman of National Disaster Management Authority Lt. General Inam Haider called on Prime Minister here. During meeting, he gave detailed briefing to PM on ongoing efforts for rehabilitation of flood-affected areas.
