ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti said his statement about former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was politicised and had been taken out of context after PML-N leaders reacted strongly to comments passed during TV show.

Bugti should learn lesson from fate of former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed who occupied same portfolio in PTI government before issuing statement, PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah warned him.

Describing comments passed by Bugti as “Crossing limits”, he advised him not to make an attempt to improve his standing by talking about PML-N supremo, who had faced imprisonment and prison in past. “Don’t worry about him, focus on your work,” said Rana and made it clear that decision about where Nawaz would move after landing at airport on October 21 would be by people, not caretaker Interior Minister.

PML-N supremo would complete legal requirements as he had been doing in past, he said, adding that consequences of conspiracy hatched against Nawaz were faced by masses and country. Rana said bogus cases manufactured against Nawaz were anti-Pakistan and anti-people, adding that PML-N enjoyed support of Almighty Allah and masses.

Similarly, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb addressing Bugti, said where Nawaz would go after from airport was neither caretaker government’s problem nor within its domain to decide about matter. Decision would be made by Nawaz and people, she remarked, asking caretaker Minister to get rid of thinking that he would remain in office forever.
