Karachi: This is a political and election budget from PDM-led government. Pakistan will not be able to enter 9th review of IMF and will face difficulties, claimed businessman Faizan Rawat. No new taxes have been imposed in this budget, due to which it will be impossible to achieve target of 9,200 billion, he added.

There has been an extraordinary hike in government employees’ salaries. Incoming governments will have to present mini budget this year, he opined. However he said relief for agriculture, IT and construction sectors is positive. To overcome energy crisis, scrapping duty on solar panels is also good step. Extraordinary increase in PSIDP budget is alarming as it looks this budget will be used in election campaign by PML-N and allied parties in government.

With this budget, internal and external debt will increase, budget is just manipulation of statistics and in short, it is not masses-friendly budget, Faizan added
