Britain’s HC, Mayor Murtaza discuss investment opportunities in Karachi

KARACHI: Acting Deputy High Commissioner of UK Zoe Ware called on Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab in his office at KMC building. She was accompanied by Deputy High Commissioner Sara Mohney and Political Adviser Batul Zahra. Acting Deputy High Commissioner of United Kingdom congratulated Wahab on becoming Karachi mayor and extended him best wishes.
Wahab welcoming High Commissioner on her arrival at head office of KMC said that Britain and Pakistan have friendly relations, adding mutual relations between two countries would be further promoted in future. He informed Zoe that Karachi is largest city of Pakistan and centre of industry and craft and due to its geographical location, Karachi holds much importance in this region.” There are vast investment opportunities in Karachi due to its closeness to large markets.
“British investors will be provided with all facilities. Karachi is an international city. Government is paying special attention to improving quality of its infrastructure and municipal facilities, as Karachi is rich in its civilisation, culture and history. British Deputy High Commissioner said that Britain values Karachi and its citizens, adding Britain had provided support to Pakistan in various fields in past and would continue to do so in future too.
