Blome assures Aurangzeb of strengthening economic cooperation

ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador Donald Blome met with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb to discuss discuss further US cooperation and support for Pakistan's efforts to meet its reform targets.
According to statement released by Embassy of United States of America, talks centred on enhancing nation's tax administration and investment climate-key priority for Pakistan.
Ambassador Blome emphasised United States' steadfast support for Pakistan's collaboration with International Monetary Fund to conclude its current Stand-By Arrangement successfully.
Blome emphasised his dedication to broadening US-Pakistan economic collaboration in areas of common interest.
Blome highlighted importance of two countries' shared interests and many opportunities to advance shared goals, including through high-level dialogues and Green Alliance framework. Meanwhile, Finance Minister and Chinese ambassador resolved to boost economic ties between two countries.
Chinese envoy called on Aurangzeb. Both leaders discussed matters in line with bilateral relations and economic cooperation between two countries.
Aurangzeb said that Pakistan will try to take big programme according to quota and vows economic discipline in IMF programme. “There is no obstacle in final installment of current loan programme from IMF,’ he told.
