Bilawal vows to bring agricultural revolution if voted to power

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pledged to bring ‘agricultural revolution’ by facilitating farmers, if party voted to power.

Addressing public gathering here in connection with elections 2024, Bilawal said that farmers will be given direct aid through Kisan Card.

He promised to abolish Rs 15 billion subsidy being given to ‘elites’ every year, if people of Pakistan voted party to power. He criticised rival parties participating in electoral campaign, stating that others only represent elite besides PPP.

He said that amount being given to elites would be spent on welfare of public. He said that instead of subsiding rich, PPP would issue ‘Kisan Card’.

Bilawal said that if people support PPP on February 8, no can halt party from coming into power. “February 8 is day to decide next five years to pass. If you want politics of hatred and division then vote for anyone,” he said.

Bilawal said that PPP’s Sindh government started provision of free medical facilities across province. He asked people of Dera Ismail Khan to vote for his party for having same facilities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that his party had launched ‘revolutionary’ Benazir Income Support Programme through which, deserving women are still getting financial assistance.
