KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to martyrs of Karsaz tragedy. In his message on 15th anniversary of Karsaz tragedy, he said that this day reminded us sacrifices of leadership and workers of party during struggle to restore and strengthen democracy in country.

Both leadership and workers fought many heinous conspiracies and walked through rivers of blood to accomplish mission of democracy, equality, peace and prosperity in country, he added.

Bilawal said that on October 18, 2007, blood of 180 people was shed to sabotage gathering of millions of people who were present in Karachi for historic reception of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

He said, “We should remember our martyrs on October 18 every year and share grief of their families as well as inform our young generation about our history and struggles and sacrifices of generations before them.”

Bilawal said that we have to teach young generation that developing personal enmities in politics and breaking records of telling lies is not a struggle. He reiterated his determination that Party will continue to advance struggle to strengthen democracy in country, because sacrifices of martyrs of Karsaz were given for establishment of democracy and strengthening it.

He said that bloodshed suffered by democratic forces besides torture, solitary confinements and imprisonments won’t deter PPP leadership and workers from carrying on struggle of our predecessors.
