Bilawal eyes solution to ills in departure from outmoded politics

MARDAN: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said solution to issues of inflation and unemployment lies in his party’s victory in upcoming elections. He highlighted party’s historical dedication to serving people and emphasised sacrifices of leaders like Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.
Bilawal Bhutto pledged to address economic challenges through collective efforts after recounting Benazir Bhutto’s 30-year political struggle when she faced two dictators.
Expressing dissatisfaction over seven decades of old politics, Bilawal Bhutto called for new political approach, advocating for unity and departure from outdated politics. Seeking support, he emphasised party’s focus on fighting inflation, unemployment, and poverty, expressing trust in people’s power.
Pakistan had borne selected Raj for five years in apparent reference to PTI government.Masses will no longer accept selected raj, Bilawal Bhutto said, emphasising that people will suffer if someone is selected again this time.
He took dig at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, saying politicians who joined Mehangai league will not remain electable anymore due to their decision. He made these remarks while apparently referring to Nawaz Sharif Quetta visit, wherein more than 30 politicians of Balochistan joined PML-N.
We need to embark on new political direction, which will allow us to overcome issues faced by country, he said.
He regretted that veteran politicians neither think about present nor future “And are still stuck in past. We want to leave behind politics of division, hate and abuse which are part of traditional politics for past 70 years, he stressed.
He reaffirmed party’s focus that power belonged to people and promised to fulfill unfinished mission of shaheed leaders in upcoming election campaign. He criticised pursuit of electables in old politics and emphasised party’s commitment to democracy and people’s welfare. He announced that party would arrange conventions in Peshawar, Dir and Chitral.
