KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid rich tributes to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 147th birthday anniversary being celebrated today.

According to press statement issued by Media Cell Bilawal House, he in his message to nation said that as we celebrate birthday of our Quaid, let us reflect on his steadfast commitment to justice, equality and principles that define essence of Pakistan.

He said that Quaid-e-Azam was democratic visionary leader, whose unwavering dedication paved way for creation of our beloved country, Pakistan. “Our Quaid’s indomitable spirit and unparalleled leadership continue to inspire generations, reminding us of ideals upon which our great nation stands,” he added.

Bilawal Bhutto said that PPP steadfastly upholds visionary ideals and objectives of nation’s founder, working towards realization of an inclusive, democratic and progressive Pakistan. He pointed out that Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto fulfilled Quaid-e-Azam’s vision by presenting historic unanimous Constitution in 1973-democratic structure grounded in principles of equal rights for all and laying groundwork for robust defense, adding that in face of heartbreaking loss of her father, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto fearlessly took up mantle, dedicating her life to noble causes of democracy and uplifting marginalised, ultimately making ultimate sacrifice in pursuit of these lofty ideals.

“President Asif Ali Zardari, during his presidency, diligently worked to bolster ideals and objectives set forth by Quaid-i-Azam, achieving significant milestone through restoration of 1973 Constitution to its authentic form via the 18th constitutional amendment,” he added.

He said that Quaid-e-Azam envisioned Pakistan that stands as beacon of democracy, progress and inclusivity, where every citizen, irrespective of color, caste, or creed enjoys equal opportunities, adding that in present moment, call to uphold this philosophy has never been more pressing. “In unity, we stand, resolute against ideologies seeking change through coercion instead of ballot, all while unwaveringly adhering to principles of democracy,” he concluded.
