ABBOTTABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasised that outdated politics was biggest hurdle in Pakistan’s development. In his public address, he urged shift away from decisions made in closed rooms, highlighting need for new political system.
Addressing convention staged by loyal party workers, Bilawal stated that “PPP stands as voice of downtrodden, advocating for rights of poor.” He pledged party’s active participation in upcoming elections with goal of forming government that serves people.
Reflecting on challenges faced by poor and labourers, Bilawal expressed concern over escalating issues of inflation, poverty and unemployment. He called for deviation from old-style politics and adoption of fresh, new approach to address critical problems faced by nation.
Emphasising importance of giving youth an opportunity, Bilawal encouraged empowering younger generation to contribute positively to solving country’s issues. Bilawal stressed that power lies with people, asserting their right to choose their leaders and shape nation’s future. Bilawal Bhutto appealed to masses to give him chance in general elections 2024 to serve them.
“It is better to give me chance rather than making people prime minister for second or fourth time, he said, adding that he wont disappoint masses if given chance. He said it is time now for elder politicians to take rest at their homes. Problems of masses will not be addressed if old enmity continues between political leaders, he added.
He said PPP believes in power of people and always represented common people. Bilawal Bhutto claimed that his party will win general elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as earlier it was cornered during elections.
PPP determination is to establish government prioritising youth empowerment, poverty alleviation and inflation control, with plans to double wages over five-year period.
