Bilawal appeals to people for cooperation, precautions in view of cyclone ‘Biparjoy’

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appealed to public to take protective measures and to cooperate with administration in view of cyclone ‘Biparjoy’. According to statement issued by Media Cell Bilawal House here Bilawal said that according to meteorological reports, coastal areas of Karachi, Thatta, Sujawal and Badin are under threat of ‘Biparjoy’.
He said that Sindh government is alert in view of cyclone and is taking all possible safety measures, adding that all possible resources are being utilised to protect life and property of people. He said that people, especially those living in coastal areas should cooperate with administration and move to safer places without delay.
He emphasised that citizens living in old and dilapidated buildings should also be shifted to safer places on emergency basis. He appealed to fishermen not to go into open sea for next few days until weather returns to normal. “Travelling during rainstorms should be avoided, as taking all precautionary measures is only way to avoid the potential damage of natural calamity,” he added. Bilawal instructed his Party’s office-bearers and workers to lend helping hand to administration in rescue and relief activities, while lawmakers of party from coastal areas should remain in their respective constituencies and stay in touch with people.
