Former singer Rabi Pirzada has addressed recent controversy surrounding notable singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and called incident an inappropriate act.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan made rounds on social media as in viral video, he was seen beating his student after one of his important bottles got missing from his collection. Singer; however, later apologised and clarified about bottle.

Talking about it, Rabi Pirzada said, “I was watching Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s video for quite some time, I am former singer, initially I didn’t want to talk about it but my conscience didn’t allow me to stay quiet.”

She added, “Let me tell you, these big singers hire such students for free, they barely pay them and promise them to teach music in return.

If you pay them in crores for an event, they hardly pay them (students) few bucks.”  “You should take notice of this thing.

You have just seen one video, there are lot of low-profile musicians who are being treated same way.”
