B’desh’s interim chief lauds cricket team’s test series win against Pakistan

Dhaka: Dr Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government, has lauded Bangladesh cricket team for their performance in test series against Pakistan in Rawalpindi.

In statement issued, Yunus congratulated the team and commended captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto for his leadership in guiding Bangladesh to a historic 2-0 series victory over Pakistan. The Bangladesh team displayed skill and professionalism, dominating Pakistan across all facets of the game. Dr Yunus acknowledged the contributions of every player and official, expressing his deep admiration and offering heartfelt congratulations to the team. He highlighted the significance of the team’s triumph with the rallying cry “Jai Bangla,” urging the players to maintain their commitment and dedication as they strive for future success. In celebration of this historic achievement, Dr Yunus has invited the Bangladesh cricket team to a dinner at the Prime Minister’s House. The Bangladesh Cricket Board’s media department described the team’s performance in the two-Test series as extraordinary, marking a pivotal moment in Bangladesh’s Test cricket history.
