Barrister Saif deplores Centre’s unfair behaviour

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Adviser to Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Ali Saif took centre to task over latter’s ‘unfair behaviour’ towards province.

His remark came days after when KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur lashed out at federal government. In presser with province’s Food Minister Zahir Shah, barrister said, “Funds of ex-FATA region have been ended and now its responsibility also falls on KP’s shoulders.” Defending his Chief Minister’s aggressive speech, he said purpose his choice of words was to make centre aware of its rights about KP.

Meanwhile, he said KP government has decided to buy 600,000 tonnes of wheat from the local farmers as the no imports in this regard would be made. Following this, KP government has bought 17,000 metric tonnes of locally produced wheat from as it was vision of PTI founder to provide relief to farmers. He said, “KP government would get 40 kg wheat at Rs 5,600 from PASCO but it would get profit of Rs 12 billion if it buys from regional farmers.” He said that price of 20 kg flour bag has dropped to Rs 1,650 from previous price of Rs 3,200.
