Barrister Gohar denies existence of any forward bloc

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that despite various challenges, PTI members remained united and there was no forward bloc within party.
Speaking to media after hearing on PTI’s intra-party election case at Election Commission, he mentioned that party submitted documents for intra-party elections on March 8 for third time but has yet to receive certificate. He noted that Supreme Court had ordered declaration of 39 members as PTI MNAs, and Election Commission sought guidance from Supreme Court, hoping for clear ruling soon. Gohar emphasised that certificate provided for 39 candidates was applicable to all candidates.
He expressing confidence that local body elections would occur on time, with PTI expected to achieve clean sweep if they do. PTI Chairman added that PTI was political party united under ideology of its founder, Imran Khan that not require any symbols. “PTI plans to participate vigorously in Islamabad’s local government elections and is concerned that government is attempting to postpone them” he added.
