Barrister Gauhar’s house raided, 4 officials, SHO Margalla suspended

ISLAMABAD: In connection with police raid at house of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Barrister Gauhar, on order of IG Islamabad, 5 officers including SHO Margalla have been suspended while SP City has been appointed as inquiry officer. Detailed report has been ordered to be submitted within 3 days.

According to spokesperson of Islamabad Police, 5 officers including SHO Margalla have been suspended by order of IG Islamabad on issue of police raid at house of PTI barrister Gohar. Salamabad Police has completed preliminary investigation.

It should be remembered that on January 13, local police arrived at F-7/2 in search of proclaimed offender on information of an informer. Police immediately returned after finding out that said house belonged to Barrister Gohar. According to police spokesman, Chief Justice of Pakistan summoned IG Police and issued an order to investigate matter. He assured Chairman PTI to investigate matter and take departmental action if any police officer is found guilty.
