Bangladesh proud to host Bishwa Ijtema

KARACHI: ‘Bishwa Ijtema’ (Global Congregation) of Muslims is one of largest peaceful gatherings in entire world and is largest after Hajj begins by Bank River Turag (plus vicinity of tens of square kilometres all around), 25km from Dhaka.

An estimated five million devotees from home and abroad are expected to attend congregations this year. Devotees from around 150 countries across globe including India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Syria, Chad, Tajikistan Turkey, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Malaysia,  Kuwait, Iran, Oman, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Ethiopia, Myanmar, South Africa, Egypt, Palestine, Germany, France, Sudan, Nigeria, Italy, Turkiye, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US also joined congregation. This year around 1,000 are from Pakistan.

Devotees listen to scholars (from Bangladesh, Pakistan and India) reciting and explaining verses from Holy Qur’an and Hadidh to renew their iman, niyah, taqwa, amal, sunnah and teaching for love and peace for own-self and entire humanity and importance of preaching of Islamic values in most peaceful way in utmost selflessly and without any worldly return for themselves from anyway and from anywhere in any kind.

Congregation is going to take place into two phases: 1st one during Janaury 13-15 January and one during January 20-22, 2023.
