Balochistan police leaves for Lahore to arrest Imran

QUETTA: A team of Balochistan police left for Lahore to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in case related to an inciting speech against state institutions.
Police team will visit Zaman Park with arrest warrants and they are expected to face charged PTI supporters who earlier attempted to bar Islamabad police from heading to residence of their party chief.
On Monday, police in Quetta lodged case against Imran Khan at Bijli Road Police Station for alleged hate speech against state institutions. In FIR, complainant said Islamabad police reached Zaman Park to arrest PTI chief but he evaded his arrest and later addressed his workers through video link in which he incited public against institutions.
Petitioner said Mr Khan hurled baseless allegations against security officers and attempted to create unrest in country.
In series of tweets, police also said Mr Khan was "Avoiding" arrest, adding that police superintendent had gone to room but politician was not there.
