QUETTA: Balochistan government rescinded services of Minister for planning and development Noor Muhammad Dumar over participating in meeting of National Economic Council (NEC).

It came as Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo had boycotted meeting of NEC over federation’s “Non-cooperative attitude” towards province.

A notification was issued by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo in this regard. Earlier, Balochistan government had decided this in protest against federal government’s “Non-cooperative attitude” towards province. Announcement was made by Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo.

“I and none of NEC members from Balochistan will attend meeting as Islamabad is continuously ignoring needs and financial demands of province,” he said.

All assurances and promises made by federal government had not been implemented, adding that this attitude was very disappointing. “Centre has not released Rs 10 billion announced for rehabilitation of flood victims,” Chief Minister added.

Bizenjo said due to lack of resources, flood victims were still waiting for government assistance. “Government has asked centre to include projects suggested by Balochistan members of Senate and National Assembly in federal PSDP, but no step has been taken,” he added.
