The government of Balochistan has announced a comprehensive campaign against terrorism following the devastating suicide attack in Mastung district, which resulted in 60 casualties.
Provincial Caretaker Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai, declared that there will be no appeasement or concessions, and an all-out war against these terrorists will be waged.
During a press conference in Quetta, Achakzai raised concerns over the frequency and consistent pattern of terrorist incidents in the country. He questioned why such attacks were specific to Pakistan and not occurring in neighboring countries, suggesting the presence of a mastermind orchestrating destabilization.
Federal Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti had previously alleged that India's foreign intelligence agency, RAW, was behind recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan.
Minister Achakzai emphasized that the state would not hesitate to hunt down any terrorist group, including Daesh or TTP. No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the Mastung attack.
A case against unidentified individuals was initiated by the Counter-Terrorism Department.
COAS General Asim Munir described the attackers and facilitators behind the attack as "proxies of the enemies of Pakistan and its people."
While discussing the possibility of a grand operation, Achakzai refrained from commenting but assured journalists that intelligence-based operations would be conducted as necessary. He pledged to pursue not only the terrorist operatives but also their masterminds.
Achakzai announced financial aid for the victims' families and reassessment of security protocols to prevent future security lapses. He also mentioned upcoming meetings of the Apex Committee, where critical decisions and actions would be recommended.
His declaration for concerted efforts against militancy and foreign elements echoed similar calls from other civil and military leaders in the region.
