Bajwa’s tax data leak case: Court approves 2-day remand of 3 accused

Islamabad: Shahzad Niaz, Arshad Ali and Adeel Ashraf accused in case of former Army Chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa’s alleged tax data leak from Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) were produced in court of Special Magistrate Umar Shabir. Court approved two-day physical remand of three accused. Lawyers of accused and investigating officer appeared in court along with records.

On behalf of investigating officer, five-day physical remand of three accused was requested. Investigating officer said that accused Shehzad Niaz sold data to other two co-accused for money and co-accused sold FBR record to journalist. Court approved two-day physical remand of three accused and handed them over to FIA
