Bahrain’s Chief Commander lauds Pak Army role in flood relief activities

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had a telephonic conversation with Commander-in-Chief Kingdom of Bahrain Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
During conversation, it said, Bahraini commander-in-chief expressed deep grief over devastation caused by unprecedented floods in Pakistan and offered sincere condolence to families of victims.
He offered full support to people of Pakistan. He also appreciated Pakistan Army’s efforts for rescue and relief in flood-affected areas.
According to ISPR, Gen Qamar thanked kingdom for its support and reiterated that assistance from brotherly countries shall be vital in rescue and rehabilitation of victims.
Earlier this month, the Minister of Defence Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Transformation Management Office Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Doctor Samir bin Abdulaziz Al-Tabib visited General Qamar.
