Actress of past Babar Sharif said, "I loved Rani Begum, Shamim Ara and Zeba Begum in film industry, but I had very close relationship with Shamim Ara." Shamim Ara wanted to do much more for film industry, what should have been done was not done.

In an interview, she said that when Shamim Ara was seriously ill, she was in dire need of film industry, but selfishness of showbiz industry that no one supported her in difficult situations.

I was deeply shocked by her death which I have not forgotten till now, an actress and director like Shamim Ara was real asset to film industry.

Babra Sharif got upset with moist in her eyes when she mentioned Shamim Ara. Credit goes to Shamim Ara for casting me as commando heroine, every work she did with me as director was super hit.
