Azeri FM, COAS hold in-depth discussions: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional peace and stability. They engaged in in-depth discussions, said statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Military's media wing said that Army Chief mphasised Pakistan's long-standing fraternal ties with Azerbaijan and reiterated country's unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive assistance and cooperation in spheres of defense and security. General Munir also praised Azeri armed forced for their professionalism.

"Visiting dignitary expressed his sincere appreciation for Pakistan's steadfast support to Azerbaijan and acknowledged country's pivotal role in maintaining regional stability."

D earlier, Pakistan and Azerbaijan resolved to enhance cooperation in multiple sectors including trade, investment, energy and connectivity to exploit bilateral potential further in meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Jeyhun Bayramov.
