IHC bars authorities from arresting human rights lawyer Imaan without prior court notification.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued an order preventing authorities from arresting human rights lawyer Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir in any case without first informing the court.

This decision came during a hearing on Monday, presided over by Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb, as Imaan sought details of FIRs registered against her and protective bail. Previously, she had been arrested and faced various criminal cases, including sedition and terrorism. The IHC had previously granted her bail in some of these cases, and this latest order ensures that her arrest in any new case is subject to court notification."
