GUJRANWALA: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Gujranwala issued orders to arrest Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and present him before court on March 7 in case for allegedly threatening the judiciary and government officials in his public speeches.

The directives were issued by Accountability Judge Rana Zahid.  Case against Rana Sana came up for hearing before Judge Rana Zahid Iqbal of ATC here. Gujarat Police completed investigation of case and filed report for dismissal of case against Rana Sana in court. Court rejected police report seeking dismissal of case against Rana Sanaullah.  Court while issuing show cause notice to SP Investigation Gujarat, concerned DSP and Investigation officer for working out report in connection with dismissal of case against Rana Sanaullah and directed them to appear before it in person. Court issued bailable arrest warrants.

Terrorism case was registered against Rana Sana by Punjab government for threatening judiciary and government officers during his speeches on April 15, 2021 and January 29, 2022. According to copy of FIR case was registered against him under section 7 of anti-terrorism, section 353 of criminal procedure and sections 186, 189 and 506.
