At least eight killed in Kohat road accident

KOHAT: At least eight people were killed and five others injured as result of road accident in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa yesterday. According to rescue officials, incident occurred after van collided with mini truck in Darra Adam Khel city of Kohat district. Police and rescue teams rushed to site and shifted bodies and injured to nearby hospital.

Accident took place due to overspeeding, said police. Medics at hospital feared that death toll might further rise because at least two persons among wounded are in critical condition. Identity of deceased and injured passenger is being verified.
