Asif Zardari summons PPP's parliamentary party meeting

LAHORE: After announcement of dissolution of Punjab Assembly on December 23, former President and PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari becomes active in provincial politics.

Last week, former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan flanked by Chief Ministers of Punjab and KP announced to dissolve assemblies on December 23. Pakistan Peoples' Party co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has called on meeting of PPP's parliamentary party in Punjab Assembly.

Meeting will take place at Bilawal House here. PPP lawmakers led by Hassan Murtaza will meet Asif Ali Zardari to avert dissolution of Punjab Assembly, sources said.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples' Party expressed their resolve that coalition government would continue to move forward for political stability and economic development of country. During meeting, they agreed that nobody would be allowed to create political instability in country. They decided to take decisive action against those who are conspiring to push country toward economic default.

Meanwhile, PPP co-Chairman has also geared up all efforts to avert the dissolution of Punjab Assembly by taking all the relevant stakeholders on board.

It is learnt from the reliable sources that during PPP’s parliamentary meeting major decisions would be taken considering the current political scenario of Punjab province and giving a befitting response to PTI around all nook ad corners.
