Asif Zardari’s health in improvement phase, no need to go abroad, say doctors

KARACHI: It is learnt from the reliable sources that the health of former President and PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari is improving gradually and he does not requires to travel abroad for immediate medica treatment.

    Sources refutes all reports pertaining to the former president’s shifting to abroad on immediate basis and said that he is recovering fast and in satisfactory health than before.

Sources privacy to matter said that Zardari, who is admitted to a private hospital in Karachi was examined by a team of doctors who flew in from Dubai. They added that most doctors, who are part of team, specialise in respiratory diseases.

As per doctors’ suggestion, Asif Zardari is getting appropriate treatement, therefore, he does not need to be shifted abroad at the instant moment.

Earlier, reports were circulating all around that Zardari’s health is deteriorating and he could be shifted to United Arab Emirates in no time for further medical assistance and chek-ups. Sources added that some of Zardari’s tests were carried out today as well, while his son, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also accompanied him.

According to Dr Asim Hussain who is the head of medical board responsible for Zardari’s treatment, he  said that former president’s health has improved as compared to past.

“There is an infection in one of his lungs and he is under treatment for that,” Dr Asim said.

  Dr Asim also said that a team of doctors supervising former President comprise highly qualified medical practitioners and added that all necessary tests have been carried out, while he is also taking a stroll as per suggestion of doctors. 

It is pertinent to mention here that this was second time this year that PPP co-Chairman had to be admitted to a hospital. In February of this year, he was shifted to a private hospital after he fell ill.

 Former President is currently getting best treatment in Ziauddin Hospital Karachi where highly expert  team of doctors being headed by Dr. Asim Hussain is closely supervising the health and treatment of Asif  Ali Zardari.
