Arts Council organises art fair of SABSU, Minister Ismail praises promoting art culture

Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organised an art exhibition of students of Shaheed Allah Bukhsh Soomro University Art Design and Heritage Jamshoro. Sindh Minister Education Board and Environment Muhammad Ismail Raho and President Arts Council Ahmad Shah inaugurated event. Vice Chancellor SABS University Prof. Dr. Arabilla Bhutto, Hamir Soomro were present. Art works of Fine Arts, Textile Designing and Communication Designing students have been placed in exhibition, Minister said, "I feel happy to see creations of students, this is our job to make such institutions where students can show their talent".

He said that art works of graduates here are rare examples. Students will make their place in society and make name of country bright. He said that these young people should take country forward. Universities need to do more for promotion of art and culture. Ahmad Shah said SABS University is named after Hamir Soomro's grandfather, he has been working for past forty years. He said that for promotion of art and culture, it has been decided to activate all arts councils established across Sindh, for which an arts council coordination committee has been formed.

He hoped these students will brighten name of country, their faces are bright, I pray students will be successful in future and brighten name of institution and Pakistan.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Arabilla Bhutto said that art is everywhere, SABS University is playing an important role in promoting positive thinking in society through arts by connecting with science. Muniba, Aiman, Sheva Ram, Javaria, Aliza, Moattar, Aina, Aafia, Dua Memon, Sadaf Baloch, Ayesha Aslam, Maryam Khan, Asifa, Marvi Qazi, Tahreem Maqbool, Sharmeen Umrani, Mohsin Mustafa, Faisal Channa, Asma Saeed, Areesha Khan were among them. Ayan Aftab Hussain, Warisha Ghori, Maham Tahir, Areeba Mughal, Sidra Zafar, Azhar Sheraz exhibit their Art work. Exhibition will continue till Sunday.
