Arts Council Karachi-District Central organises free medical camp

Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi (District Central) and Pakistan Eye Bank Society organised free medical camp visited by of people. Test for heart, kidney, bladder, teeth, eyes and other diseases were conducted. Eye patients who needed surgery were transferred to Eye Bank Hospital and free surgery was also done while free medicines were also given to patients. Dr. Qaisar Sajjad, Chairman of Medical and Social Committee of Arts Council inaugurated camp.

Reviewing arrangements he met patients. Resident Director of Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi District Central Bashir Sadozai and senior doctors were present. Talking to media, Dr. Qaisar Sajjad said that President Arts Council Ahmed Shah has established Central Chapter to provide facilities to people of District and especially members of Arts Council in area. Today’s free medical camp is good effort where very senior doctors are present and people should avail this facility. He said that for convenience of people, they are trying to ensure that doctor is present here on permanent basis, otherwise OPD facility should be provided at least one day in a week.
