KARACHI: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organised book launch of well-known intellectual and literary personality Irfan Siddiqui. Book ‘Greez Pa Mosamon Ki Khushbo’ was launched by Mahmood Sham. Dr. Anbreen Haseeb Anbar performed duties of Moderater. President Arts Council Ahmed Shah, Fatima Hassan, Irfan Siddiqui expressed their views. Aqeel Abbas Jafari, Shakeel Adil zada, Nasira Zuberi and Rukhsana Saba presented papers.

Ahmad Shah said that good poet does not need writer or critic. Story tells it self. Poetry is romance. This work cannot be connected with politics or slander. There are only two passions in life, one is fear and other is love. I discovered new Irfan Siddiqui today.

Mahmood Sham said that Irfan Siddiqui is good poet and man of discipline. Poetry can never be hidden. His poems captivate readers. Dr. Fatima Hassan said that Irfan Siddiqui has done us favor by digitlising dictionary and saving it. In this way, gap between languages of Pakistan will disappear. Irfan Siddiqui’s writing attracts reader.

Irfan Siddiqui said, “I am not person of mushaira and I have never been to any Mushaira. People know me as an analyst when poetry is being brought forward. Poetry has its own taste, once person falls in love with it, he cannot stay away from it.”
