Consul General of Thailand, Consul General of Japan, Consul General of Oman and Consul General of Indonesia participated. President Arts Council Ahmad Shah said that we have ancient relations with Turkey, we are celebrating 75 years of friendship between Turkey and Pakistan. Interim Minister of Law, Religious Affairs and Human Rights Umar Soomro said that today’s photo exhibition is manifestation of Pakistan-Turkey relations. Rather, it is relationship of respect and love. I am thankful that I had opportunity to participate in this event today. Consul General Turkey Cemal Sangu said, “I welcome all guests, today is very important day for us, we are exhibiting portrait of our first Ambassador, he was also poet and writer of Turkey”. Pak Turkey relations are not only 75 years but centuries old, our forefathers had deep ties with Pakistan, we are definitely two countries, but basis of our views is same, we are same in lifestyle, tolerance and culture. Thank you very much to Arts Council Karachi they fully supported us in organising this exhibition. In portrait exhibition, historical moments of Yahya Kemal Bayath spent in Pakistan, in which his Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other political figures of Pakistan are reflected.

On 29th day of ongoing Pakistan Theater Festival in Arts Council, two theaters plays ‘Love@70’ and ‘Pir Acche Aur Mir Baqar Ali’ were presented. Writer of Love@70 was Ghadeer Tabish Rizvi, while director was Azaib Khan, artists included Salman Ghazi, Asad Gojar, Hammad Khan, Saima Khan, Zaeem Naseeb, Komal Hayat, Adeel Sohail, Ayaz Ali, Rimsha Usman and Farhan Rahim. Love@70 invites you on journey that is quirky tale of love, friendship and marriage, this drama explores complexities of human relationships through witty dialogue and hilarious scenarios, with careful approach to matters of heart. Peer Acche Aur Mir Baqir Ali was written by Pirzada Salman, while Khizr Salman won hearts of people with his excellent acting, Pirzada Salman in theater defined Shakespeare’s limits in special way. Storyteller Mir Baqir Ali is poignant monologue that pays homage to historical figure Mir Baqir Ali who embodies Shakespeare’s concept of seven stages of human life. It clearly highlights how human being is born, learns, loves, fights, goes to court of justice and then dies of old age.
