Arts Council Karachi organises Liaquat Ali Khan Day

KARACHI: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Literary Committee organised function on occasion of ‘Liaquat Day’ presided over by Dr. Masooma Hasan, while Mahfouz-ul- Nabi Khan was chief guest. Chairperson of literary committee Ambreen Haseeb Anbar, Khawaja Razi Haider, Raees Fatima, Agha Masood Hussain, Muhammad Usman Jamee, Altaf Mujahid and Akbar Liaqat Ali attended event online. Liaquat Ali Khan’s son Akbar Liaquat Ali Khan spoke online.

Dr. Masooma Hassan said that Nawabzada was a great leader. Liaquat Ali Khan is hero of all of us. Conditions in Pakistan were very bad at time of partition. Liaquat Ali Khan gave stability to Pakistan with hard work, dedication and honesty. Nawabzada was a very enlightened person. Mahfouz Nabi Khan said that all moments spent with him are precious to him and I thank President Arts Council Ahmad Shah who organised this event.

Akbar Liaquat Ali Khan online said that his father kept nothing for himself and sacrificed everything for Pakistan. He was living in India but his life, property and love were for Pakistan. Ambreen Haseeb said that living nations are those who remember their elders. Services of Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan should be written with a golden pen.  Agha Masood Hussain said that Liaqat Ali Khan had said that he was ready to give his life for protection of Pakistan. Faiz Ali Khan performed duties of moderator. Muhammad Usman Jamee presented a ghazal, while Afsar Ahmed presented a song for Liaquat Ali Khan.
