KARACHI: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organised ‘Jashan-e-Nowruz’. Director General of Khana Farhang Iran Dr. Saeed Talebi Nia, Farast Rizvi, Syed Najmuddin. Mousvi, Dr. Fatima Hassan, Khalid Irfan, Dr. Ambareen Haseeb Ambar, Naseem Nazish, Alauddin Khanzada participated while Shakil Khan performed duties of moderator.

Khanzada, Fatima Hassan, Naseem Nazish, Ambareen Haseeb Ambar recited poems while Sameer Humza of Arts Council Music Academy sang Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s lyrics “Tum Mere Pas Raho”. Director General of Khana Farhang Iran, Dr. Saeed Talebi Nia said, I congratulate all people on Nowruz. May new day of New Year to be year of success for all of you, festival of Nowruz is not only in Islam but also in Turkestan. Apart from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, it is celebrated vigorously in many countries, he said. I congratulated President Arts Council Ahmad Shah for organising this event. Farast Rizvi said that Nowruz has two aspects, one is religious and other is cultural.
