Arts Council Karachi launches book ‘Mitho Darya’

KARACHI: Sindh Education and Welfare Association (SEWA) organised launching ceremony of book ‘Mitho Darya (Lovely River) at Arts Council Karachi. Number of literary personalities, poets, dignitaries and people belonging to all parts of Sindh province attended.
Book id written by poet and writer Sadiqullah Shah who has written 11 books on poetry, literature and other topics so far. This book highlighted culture, history and beautifies of Indus River and Sindh region.
SEWA Chairman Syed Mehbood Ali Shah said that they are thankful to poet Sadiqullah Shah for writing great book on Sindh’s culture and its values.
Dr Zaid Ahmed Pirzado, PhD scholar urged young generation to get higher education with educational and technical skills so as to achieve good jobs as unemployment had become big problem in present era.
Baakh Pirzado a literary personality paid rich tribute to writer bringing out great book about river and culture of Indus Valley. She said SEWA had been striving for boosting education, literat ure and culture of Sindh, adding it had completed several projects about education training, skill development, women empowerment and sanitation improvement.
Amna noted social leader said that development of any country depends on education and social development. SEWA is social welfare organisation, which is providing training for development of education, agriculture, sanitation system besides training women for their empowerment,
Mukhtiar Ahmed Abro DC Keamari said that poets show roads to development and Sadiqullah Shah also did it in his literature. Writer in this book has highlighted culture and history of Sindh in excellent way, he remarked.
Dr Ashfaq and Qasim Shah presented gifts to writer of book. Amber Sanam Leghari presented gifts of flowers to special guests. Event was presided over by Baakh Pirzado. Moro International CEO Zain-ul-Abideen Khuhro, senior journalist Nawaz Khuhro and literary figure Taj Muhammad Sheikh also present.
