Arts Council Karachi holds 145th birth anniversary of Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan 3rd

KARACHI: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and Burushaski Research Academy organised ceremony in connection with 145th birth anniversary of His Highness Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan 3rd.

Chief Guest Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Secretary Arts Council Ejaz Farooqui, Lecturer Pakistan Studies, Urdu University Syed Minhaj Mousavi, Director Clinical Science Division Hamdard Laboratories Dr. Hanan (Alig), Chairperson Department of Urdu, University of Karachi Dr. Uzma Farman, Advisor Burushaski, Research Academy Shahnaz Hanzai, Mushir Burushaski Research Academy and Assistant Professor Aga Khan Dr. Rubina Barolia and Fida-e-muk were present. Ismaili community participated in large number.

Iqbal Memon said that His Highness Sultan Muhammad Shah understood importance of education from first day. Gave awareness not only for male but also for female education, apart from rendering great services for prosperity of Indian subcontinent, he also played an important role in world politics and advocated rights of Muslims of subcontinent at a high level.

His Highness Sultan is the first imam who has dedicated all his resources for welfare of community and a leader is one who thinks ahead. Ejaz Farooqui said that His Highness Sultan Muhammad Shah has rendered unparalleled services for education and development of Ummah, he has done a great favor to Pakistan. Syed Minhaj Mousavi said that His Highness Sultan Muhammad Shah was leader of first page and a tall figure. We can see influence of his personality in subcontinent of Pakistan.

A bouquet was presented along with traditional gifts and cake was also cut. In end, Daoodi Band gave performance on regional tunes.
