Arts Council Karachi celebrates ‘Tamgha-e-Imtiaz’ to Iqbal Latif

KARACHI: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi held an evening in honour of Muhammad Iqbal Latif, senior figure in showbiz industry and former member of governing body. In recognition of services rendered for promotion of art and culture Latif has been awarded with Tamga-e-Imtiaz. President Arts Council Ahmad Shah, Ijaz Farooqui, Amjad Shah, Zaheer Khan, Anees Zaidi, Raju Jameel, Fatima Hassan, Kashif Grami, Shakeel Siddiqui, Shahzad Raza Rizvi and other personalities from Pakistan showbiz industry participated. Ahmad Shah said that Iqbal Latif is my brother, good person and our partner for past many years.  He never let us realise that he is an actor but always supported us, we come together in funerals and condolence programmes but we should join in such programmes.

Amjad Shah said that this award was not given to Iqbal Latif but to all of us. I congratulate Ahmed Shah for organising ceremony. Fatima Hassan said, Today’s evening is for very happy personality, I congratulate Ahmed Shah for organising event and Iqbal Latif for getting Tamga-e-Imtiaz.  Actor Shakeel Siddiqui said that when hard worker gets an award, heart is very happy. Yes, Iqbal Latif is also one of those people. Kashif Grami said that Ahmed Shah is credited for awarding Iqbal Latif with Medal of Distinction, his reflection can be seen in work of Iqbal Bhai, Shehzad Raza and Raju Jameel said Iqbal Latif is very good person. Former executive director Arts Council Nadeem Zafar said that Iqbal Latif is loving person, today there is festival of lovers here.
