Arts Council Karachi, Al-Hamra Lahore jointly organise 4-day Int’ Islamic Art Festival

  1. Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and Al-Hamra Arts Council Lahore jointly organised 4-day International Islamic Art Festival. President Arts Council Karachi Ahmad Shah said that Lahore is centre of civilisation of sub-continent. Rulers come and go but artists, poets and writers live forever.

Umar Sarfraz Cheema inaugurated Festival in which Turkey, Iran, Egypt, Algeria and Yemen are participating. Artworks of artists from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and other Islamic countries were put on display. 

Ahmad Shah said that we built Karachi Arts Council with our own hands and today we are recognised on international level. 

Partnership with Lahore Al-Hamra in development of art and culture is on strong foundation and we will continue this partnership. Arts Council Karachi will organise culture activities at Muzaffarabad, Hunza and Skardu also. We are going to organise Pakistan Literature Festival in America, Canada and twenty other countries, in which culture and civilisation of Pakistan will be introduced. Razi Ahmed, Executive Director of Al Hamra Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi, Director of Turkish Cultural Centre Erin Biasulu, Director General Khana Farhang Erin Jafar Ronas and others also expressed their views.
