Arts Council District Central approves set up of Computer Institute

Karachi: President Arts Council Karachi, Ahmed Shah approved establishment of Computer Institute and immediate provision of 20 computers. Classes will commence immediately after Eid-ul-Fitr at Art Council District Central. Decision was made during meeting. Art Council District Central. Executive Director Daniyal Umer and other officials were present. Resident Director Bashir Sadozai briefed Ahmed about upcoming programmes. Art Council District Central initiated regular programmes with naat, tradition that will continue this year as well. Grand naat event will be organised during Ramadhan. Bashir Sadozai mentioned that 70 literary, cultural and social programmes were conducted over past year.

Due to an increase in enrollment, second batch will soon be initiated. Ahmed Shah expressed his satisfaction with these initiatives and emphasised importance of providing courses for youth that could lead to employment opportunities. He emphasised progress and prosperity of low-income families are only possible through providing modern technological education to youth. He ensured that Art Council would provide all necessary facilities for this purpose. He praised Art Council District Central Chapter for providing facilities to public and promoting arts and culture, especially by organising events for poets. He suggested establishment of an academy for poetry and literature and announced commencement of 15-day literary festival.
