Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi held press conference regarding 4th Women’s Conference in which President of Arts Council Ahmad Shah, Anees Haroon and Noor ul Huda Shah gave media briefing. Ahmad Shah said that we have been organising women’s conference for last four years, women’s day is being celebrated actively in Pakistan and we do not consider this issue as one day issue. It is not topic of day or week, there is need for serious discussion on this issue, he said. Event is being held today.

Women do not have right to express their opinion, freedom means how to wear clothes, which field to go to, this is also freedom, he said.

Girls are running house after studying up to masters, if you don’t consider women as superior, it means you don’t respect your mother. How can economy improve by keeping half population at home, 85 percent of girls are becoming doctors in medicine, women are driving trucks in Thar, women are more powerful than men in every way, Anees Haroon said.

Due to sophistication of our society, thinking of society is hundred years behind, now focus will be not on making laws but on implementing them.

Noor ul Huda Shah said that this conference, Awrat March is necessary thing, you are preventing society from progressing and society is declining. Main reason for decline of society is that way of women is being blocked.

Purpose of this conference is to work for mental awareness. There will be so much destruction, state will have to take responsibility for protection of today’s girls. Fathers, brothers, husbands should all participate in conference.
