Art Council’s Pakistan Theatre Festival 2023 to kick off today

KARACHI: Pakistan Theatre Festival 2023 by Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi will be inaugurated today. Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Anwar Maqsood and caretaker Culture Minister Syed Junaid Ali Shah will attend opening ceremony.

President Arts Council Ahmad Shah, diplomats and all theatre directors and showbiz personalities will be present on red carpet. Festival will run for whole month in which there will be 45 shows, there are 7 international theatre groups participating and 27 different theatre groups from all around Pakistan as well. Showbiz industry will be present on red carpet. This will be the biggest theatre festival of Pakistan. Festival will be in Urdu, English, Sindhi, Punjabi and Persian languages. Pakistan Theatre Festival includes Patriot and Abdullah at Pakistan Theatre Festival, Koi Tayyari Nahin!, Through The Waves, Police, Kanya (Srilanka Dance), Biwi Ho To Apani, Taleem-e-Balighan, Trashedy, No Offense, Both Sit In, Anhi Mai Da Sufna, Kaun Hai Yeh Gustakh, Insha Ka Intezaar, Saazish ki wajah se khel multavi, Ken B Eniwan`s Story, Barasat, Social Pagal, The Father, Gadha Mandi,Dinner with Darling, Chandravati, Say No!, Nocturnal, Art aur Aata, Ikhtiyar, Anarkali Se Aagay, Fareb, Sham Bhi Thi, Shab Bakhair Maa, Tik Tak, Ik Yaad, Zeest, The Finest Cutter, Love@70, Pir Acche aur Mir Baqar Ali and Our Own Sky Dome(Turkiye) are included. Tickets are Rs 1,000 for general public, while members of Arts Council can get 50 percent discount.
