KARACHI: The planned brutal killing of Arshad Sharif is no more mystery, all characters involved are surfaced thus it is an open and shut case. Hashmat Habib President Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Adlia with a heavy heart traced the evidence of this horrible crime since the day Imran Khan forced Arshad Sharif to hide abroad and arranged his passage enabling him to leave Pakistan from Peshawar Airport under protocol till we heard his tragic death and subsequent events.
He said Arshad Sharif‘s murder is a classic example of planned killing as evident from the conduct of Imran Khan who started a long march forthwith and displayed a pre-planned campaign to cash this murder where his colleague Ch. Fawad dedicated the march to Arshad Sharif Shaheed.
Hashmat Habib said previously all Judicial Commissions failed to bring any change and culprits to justice, therefore, this time Government should not commit the same mistake otherwise such type of conspiracy cannot be stopped. He said this is not a case of the Judicial Commission but a case of an in-depth investigation by a joint investigation team comprising seasoned and brave officers of police, FIA, ISI, and IB however side by side the commission may also function to book persons who were benefited by his death. Hashmat Habib said this is crystal clear that Arshad Sharif a brave journalist and member of the army family had an excellent relationship with ISI and other influential persons belonging to uniform and enjoyed liking or disliking in public generally and in the circles of journalists, particularly he was never interested to leave Pakistan.
Hashmat Habib said at present all characters are before the Investigating Team and the contents of the joint Press Conference addressed by DG ISPR and DG ISI followed by Faisal Wavda's revelation. He said the JIT should start an investigation after the lodging FIR of this murder in Islamabad because Arshad Sharif was residing there and his place of work was also in Islamabad.
