ISLAMABAD: Inside story of five meetings held between President Arif Alvi and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has come to open. President Arif Alvi kept on demanding date for snap election. On other hand Ishaq Dar insisted on going for charter of economy saying country’s default matter be not talked of.
On other hand ruling alliance has categorically rejected demand for giving date for general election after budget saying election can be taken ahead but no snap election will be held. Whichever assembly is dissolved its election will be held.
JUI-F and PPP had made it clear on PML-N they will not agree to hold snap election. Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif and Saad Rafiq were also not in favour.
Arif Alvi during meeting with Ishaq Dar had extended offer to such an extent that this government should complete process of presenting budget and give any date of July. Arif Alvi wanted face saving of Imran Khan on this matter.
Ishaq Dar informed Nawaz Sharif and allied parties about demand and they all refused to accept it flatly.
