Angry Naeem announces to block roads across country if mandate stolen

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi amir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has announced to block roads across country as mandate of Karachiites is stolen after Local Ggovernment (LG) polls.
Addressing sit-in outside Deputy Returning Officer office in District West, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said, “We will block roads across country if it is needed. We have won majority seats in Karachi in recent LG polls.”
“Even if Pakistan Peoples’ Party spends 100 years, it cannot get majority in Karachi. PPP’s conduct and style of politics are based on Karachi enmity.” He slammed Election Commission of Pakistan for failing to address he complaints.
He said, “Returning Officers changed LG polls results under nose of Election Commissioner Sindh. How can we say that Election Commissioner is performing his duties properly when ROs are manipulating results?”
Hafiz Naeem said that Election Commissioner should tell people if he is unable to take any action due to pressure. “Protests are staged across country after manipulation of results of Karachi LG polls. Whole country is standing beside mini-Pakistan.
Karachi mayor will be elected from Jamaat-e-Islami. He announced to observe Youm-e-Tashakur on January 20 in Karachi after JI’s victory in LG polls.
He said that JI Pakistan Ameer Sirajul Haq will arrive in Karachi on Friday. Later, he announced to call off sit-in in District West.
