Altamash Hospital receives regular license by Health Commissioner

Karachi: Chief Executive Officer of Sindh Health Commission Ahsan Qavi Siddiqui said that regular licenses have been issued to 17 hospitals by Health Commission. Issuance of license doesn’t mean that hospitals decrease their health standards, there is procedure for license issuance, license is issued to meet needs of institution.

Addressing media in connection with issuance of regular license to Altamash General Hospital Dr. Ahsan Qavi Siddiqu said that so far private licenses have been issued to hospitals, but licenses will also be issued to government hospitals that meet standards. There are also hospitals which have been functioning for last 40 years, but their service quality is now low and has not improved, he said. Every person associated with medicine must be trained, untrained doctors or staff increase problems for patient. To question Dr. Ahsan Siddiqui said that Sindh Health Commission is an institution that does its work without any pressure, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Altamash expressed his happiness on getting regular license and said that entire team of hospital deserves congratulations. He said that since hospital was established we have not compromised on quality and convenience, there is monitoring system in hospital, nothing is more precious than life. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Amina Qazi said that it is an honour to get a regular license and trusting medical team. She said that journey of providing quality treatment will continue. Administrator Colonel (retd) Munir Ahmed said that issuance of license to hospital has been made possible by hard work of entire team. He said that Karachi is city of more than 25 million people, in same sense, there should be number of hospitals here. He said that Altamash Hospital has full capacity to treat diseases of present challenges. Director Imad Altamish thanked Health Commission and team of hospital and said that patients from other cities also come for treatment which encourages staff of hospital. Bouquets were presented to head of health commission and others.
