Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori has said that tape ball cricket is a step to make street boys into star boys and all possible measures will be taken to promote it so that the existing talent in the streets can be brought to the fore.
These views were expressed by Governor Sindh while addressing the unveiling of the trophy of the third edition of the Karachi Tapball Premier League and the drafting ceremony of the players. In the ceremony, legendary cricketer Javed Miandad, former Test cricketers Mushaq Muhammad, Sadiq Muhammad, Haroon Al Rasheed, various Consul Generals of the countries, former captain of Pakistan team Sarfaraz Ahmed, Zubair Naseer of Badr Expo Solutions were also present. Governor Sindh further said that table ball cricket is the face of Karachi because due to non-availability of grounds, the youth are forced to play on the streets and roads. He said that it is important to provide favorable opportunities for the promotion of healthy activities among the youth. I hope that the Karachi Tapball Premier League will prove to be important for nurturing new talent. He said that the youth in Karachi progress only by playing tape ball. He said that all famous cricketers must have played cricket with tab ball. He said that Premier League will be organized for women and special children as well. He said that sports and entertainment are essential for a healthy society, in this regard organizing the Karachi Tap Ball Premier League is a welcome process because there is no dearth of talented youth in Pakistan.
Governor Sindh said that my all possible support will continue for the promotion of cricket in the province. Javed Miandad, Consul General of United Arab Emirates Bakhit Atiq Al Rumithi, Haroon Al Rasheed, Sadiq Muhammad, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Zaheer Naseer also addressed the ceremony.
