All political parties welcome appointment of COAS: Sheikh Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League (AML) supremo Sheikh Rasheed said that all parties have welcomed appointment of COAS and hoped that Army Chief will favour nation and country. He said that Rawalpindi has been standing with Imran Khan adding that PTI Chief has his support as well.

While conducting press conference, he said that convoy under his lead will kick off from Lal Haveli today at 12. He lauded armed force for decision to stay away from politics while shedding light on sufferings of common people. “People are deprived of basic commodities and have no money for gas and electricity bills.”

Sheikh Rasheed said that Imran Khan with help of nation can solve problems of Pakistan, as country is on verge of default. While putting burden on immediate elections he said that to escape default only option is elections. While lauding appointment of Lt. Gen Asim Munir as new COAS, Rasheed said that all parties have welcomed appointment. While hopeful for general elections to be carried out next April or May, he said that graves have been dug for 13 PDM parties.
